Counselling gives a unique time and a protected space that allows you to face and find a way forward to deal with the problems that are causing you emotional distress.
I specialise in helping people cope with problems that are having a significant impact on them and/ or their loved ones. This includes personal problems, bereavement, loss of employment, coming to terms with long term health problems, trauma, anxiety, confidence. This is not an exhaustive list. Everyones needs are different, so please do get in touch if the issue you are experiencing is not noted in the examples provided.
There is no waiting list and appointments are arranged within 7-days of the initial free telephone consultation.
If you decide you do wish to start counselling we will discuss and agree suitable arrangements for your appointment and I will forward to you a terms of service. This outlines the professional standards you can expect of my practice.
The number of sessions each individual needs is entirely their decision. Some people find a few weeks helps and others attend for longer. Weekly/ fortnightly meetings tend to allow people to get the best out of counselling As people progress through their problems meeting frequency can be reduced to fortnightly/ monthly meetings pr they feel they no longer require sessions. It really is up to the individual.
